Privacy Policy

PRECEDE (“we,” “us”) operates the PRECEDE platform (precedefire.com) and the EmberCheck service (embercheck.homes). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Questions: hello@grizzillaconsulting.com.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address. EmberCheck uses a passwordless “magic link” sign-in, so we do not store a password.
• Property information: the property address(es) you ask us to monitor, and the wildfire-risk scores we generate for them.
• Payment information: EmberCheck subscriptions are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles card data under its own terms.
• Communications & preferences: alert settings, and messages you send us.
• Website information: if you contact us or request access through our sites, the information you provide. We collect basic, essential technical data needed to run and secure the sites.

How we use information

To provide the service (generate scores, send the alerts you choose), process subscriptions and billing, respond to you, maintain security, improve our services, and meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the service, and only as needed: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Mapbox (maps). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Cookies

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and operate the sites. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.

Your choices and rights

You can review or update your account information, adjust alert preferences, cancel your subscription, and ask us to access or delete your personal information by emailing hello@grizzillaconsulting.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights over your personal information; we honor those requests. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

Our services are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll post the new effective date here and, for material changes, notify you.
