How does it work?
You add your property address. EmberCheck scores wildfire conditions at your location around the clock and sends you an alert when those conditions move toward dangerous — often a day or more before a fire would start.
What does my score mean?
It's a single 0–100 reading of how dangerous conditions near your home are right now — higher means conditions are more primed for a fire to become hard to stop. It reflects conditions, not a prediction that a specific fire will occur.
How early is the warning?
EmberCheck is designed to flag rising danger before ignition, frequently a day or more ahead, so you have time to plan.
Where is EmberCheck available?
Across 11 western states: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. See the Coverage page for details.
How do alerts work?
Email alerts when conditions near your home change. You set the risk level that triggers them in your account settings.
How many homes can I monitor?
One home per account today. Monitoring more than one home is planned — let us know if you'd like it.
Do I need to download an app?
No — EmberCheck runs in your browser, and you sign in with a secure link sent to your email (no password to remember).
What does it cost?
$19.99/month, or $199/year (two months free). Cancel anytime. You can see your score for free first, with no credit card.
Is EmberCheck a replacement for official alerts?
No. EmberCheck is an early heads-up to help you prepare. It is not an evacuation or emergency-response system, and you should always follow official orders from local authorities and emergency services.
How is this different from real-time fire apps?
Real-time apps tell you about fires that are already burning. EmberCheck focuses on the window before ignition — the conditions that make a day dangerous — so you can act earlier. The two are complementary.
